Assistant Truss Production Manager - FL
Our client, a lumber and building materials dealer on the West Coast of Florida, is interested in hiring an Assistant Truss Production Manager. The successful Candidate will have previous experience managing employees in a component production facility and the experience of building roof and floor trusses.
-Supervise all production personnel in the accuracy and the efficient building of all trusses
-Inspect trusses for correct lumber grades, correct plate sizes, tight joints and acceptable material
-Prepare lumber carts to be staged and ready for production
-Give primary concern to the safe operation of the entire production area
-Enforce safety equipment requirements throughout the department
-Conduct safety training meetings with all personnel
-Notify supervisor of any unsafe equipment
-Make maximum use of personnel by scheduling wisely to control overtime
-Schedule vacations and personal days off with Plant Manager
-Train all personnel in production operations thoroughly
-Participate in review process of assigned personnel
-Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all production table and floor truss areas, truss stacking areas, pre-cut lumber staging area and all shop personnel parking areas
Required Qualifications
-Minimum of a High School Diploma is required
-Must have at least 1 year experience supervising millwork assembly procedures and carpentry
-Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
